I'm not particularly good at making cakes as sometimes they stress me out me when they turn out I do feel a sense of pride and self satisfaction.
The last cake that I made is a Lego cake and personally I feel it is my best yet.

Feeling inspired...
It's been quite a while since I wrote my last blog so I have a lot of time to make up for!
I'm not totally sure what I want the focus of my blog to be but for now I'm just going to use it to ramble on about things that I've bought and that I love.
Today I had a makeover at Benefit, my favourite place to get makeup from. I love the bright colours that they use and the girls working there are all just lovely. Felt a bit self conscious going there at the start but now I love it.
I bought 2 items from there today - new foundation from their new range called "Hello Flawless2. I'm really pale so I want a foundation that is going to compliment my skin rather than making me look like I've been tango'ed. I also bought their moisture prep toning lotion. For the first time my skin doesn't feel tight. My last foundation made my skin feel tight and like I was wearing a layer of plastic. I was given a free tester of the triple performing facial emulsion. Sounds more like paint but again it's helped my skin and today I have no horrible rashes like I did yesterday.
Finally I got my eyebrows waxed. A long overdue but now I finally feel like my face is normal again. I do wonder how on earth I managed to pluck (excuse the pun!) up the courage to leave the house with those bad boys on my face!!
Hope you're having a nice weekend

My favourite bits of jewellery

I am absolutely loving rings just now. No idea where the obsession has come from but it has so there - I'm just going to have to deal with it! To be honest, I think that it started while I was killing time in Birmingham airport waiting for my plane home on a Friday evening.
I used to wear silver bands (as you can see in the pictures) but now I've moved on to far more bold rings. Lots of people comment on them (including guys!) which is quite random but nice, I guess :-)
Anyway, I've taken a few pictures of them so let me know what you think. I will be adding to the collection soon. I bought two rings today from Primark. A bargain at £1 each (I can just see my bf rolling his eyes right now!) but they were sparkly and I liked them!

Christmas... x
My favourite bit about Christmas is not really Christmas day itself, its more the gathering of presents for everyone and picking them items that you think that they will love.
Every year my Mum and I go to the SECC to enjoy the Christmas Fair. Its a such a delight to go and see how creative and skilled people are. The British are some talented people!
Just a couple of pictures from the fair. This is the first year that my Mum and I have not wanted to leave!

Christmas Crackers
After buying the House Beautiful Christmas special yesterday and reading it this morning with a cup of tea I decided that it was time that I started making my Christmas decorations.
Started with the crackers and was quite happy with the results. These aren't functional ones but ones for the tree and the table. I've been saving bits and bobs off previous Christmas presents are re-used them. I really like re-using old cards and decorations from presents and giving them a new lease of life.
Next weekend I'm hoping to get the basis of my holly wreath and also the polystyrene balls to make my Christmas puddings for the tree.
I love Christmas - just can't wait to get the tree - 5 weeks and counting!
